Grace to Bend

During the recent ice/storm Abba gave me a word.  I wanted to share with you what He gave to me.

I saw tall, sturdy trees.  The ice snow mixture began to fall.  The trees began to receive it upon their branches.  As the trees received more and more ice and snow, the tree’s branches began to bend under the weight.  More ice fell, and the branches bent even more.  They bowed lower and lower under the weight of the ice and snow.  Some branches could not handle the weight, and they broke or fell off of the tree.

Interpretation:

We are the branches.  As the Lord pours out and we receive Him, the weight of His Glory, His Power, His Word, and His Mercy, we bend.  The more of Him we receive, the more we bend.  Some branches will not bend and will break off the tree.

In order to bend, the tree had to receive.  If the tree did not receive, it did not bend or bow.  Some branches began to receive but could not stay connected to the tree, could not handle the weight and broke off.

Prayer:

Lord, we ask for grace to bend, grace to bow, grace to receive and bend and bow lower and lower.
