TRUTH SEEKERS

It was daybreak.  The crowd gathered.  The sun rose hitting the Beautiful Temple bathing it in golden light.  THE LIGHT entered.  In came The Claimers – those claiming to be Truth Seekers – dragging a bruised, disheveled woman caught in the act of adultery.  The Claimers claimed they wanted the Truth in the situation so THE TRUTH gave them TRUTH.  They had brought the woman to use her to trick TRUTH; instead TRUTH EXPOSED THEM.  You see the woman was really who The Claimers were – those whoring after other gods – those not serving TRUTH, but The Claimers could not see they had brought an image of themselves to TRUTH –  all they could see was what they CLAIMED as Truth.  They came to expose Truth, they claimed; instead TRUTH exposed them and LOVE won – the LOVE OF TRUTH.  The woman walked away healed, set free, changed – now a LOVER OF TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!

What about us all?  Which are we?  Are we TRUTH SEEKERS – a seeker of the LOVE of TRUTH within?

Many of us have spent most of our lives running from the truth about ourselves.  We have hastily run toward the truth about theology, even to the point of downing those who do not believe as we do, but have not been willing to let the real Truth about ourselves be revealed.  This is why we have not received correction very well from our Abba.  We have not been teachable.  We have not been a “lover of TRUTH” when it came to ourselves.

Abba, we ask You, now to come to us as the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of Revelation, and the Fear of the Lord and fasten Your Truth on us.  We say this trembling inside and out because we know, and yet do not know, what we are asking.

We ask, Abba, that The Spirit of Truth will reveal what has been hidden and uncover what has been covered.  We are scared, but yet we trust You to do this in us.  Your Word says we must be pruned in order to bear fruit, and it is when we bear fruit that You are glorified.

Let there be no more lies.  Rip away the façade.  Let there be no subterfuge in us.  We must be a “lover of Truth.”  The truth of ourselves must be revealed so we can repent and be healed, set free, restored so we can be who You created us to be. 

We ask for The Spirit of Truth to bring with Him the Spirit of Grace to do this work in us.  Help us, Abba, to love TRUTH so no deluding spirit will overtake us.  It is so dangerous.

Help us to look TRUTH about ourselves dead in the eyes and see it for what it is – a cover up – a lie.  It is time, Abba.  Bring Your Truth to us so we come into You, not just come to You.

You asked Blind Bartimaeus, “What do you want me to do for you?”

He answered, “I want to see.”

Abba, I ask the same:  “That I may see.”

You said that from our innermost part would come rivers of living water; they will come from TRUTH because that is where You said You require Truth. 

You, Abba, require TRUTH in our innermost part You said in Your Word.  So Abba, come and search us out.  Find the hidden, wicked ways in us.  Expose them that we may see so we may repent.  Help us to be a Lover of Truth.      Amen.
