This morning when I was coming inside my backdoor, I saw before me the words FIRESTORM.  When I saw the words, there was such impact on my spirit that my head jerked backwards from the shock.  I asked the Lord what this was and I heard Him ask me, “Are you ready for a FIRESTORM?” 

I asked Him, “What is a FIRESTORM? “

He answered me, “It’s a violent confrontation of Living Love.  It is My blazing, fiery Love let loose.”   “It’s our mind being shocked by Love.”

It is His blazing fiery jealous love set loose to burn around, in, and through us.  It’s transforming love.  Love that changes.

Ex. 24:17 To the people of Isra’el the glory of the LORD looked like a raging fire on the top of the mountain.

I asked Him, “Why violent?” 

He responded, “That is what it takes to overturn, to bring radical change, radical transformation.”

Definition of violent = acting with or marked by great force, or resulting from a great force or energy or emotional intensity, impelled by force, excited by strong feeling

What other kind of love would have carried Him to the cross and held Him there – a violent love, a force of love, an intensity of love.

A FIRESTORM is not a peaceful love – that comes after the storm – it’s a Love that drives.  It’s a Living Encounter.  It is Love that demands a response.  It is Love full force!!  Love with more power and energy than a nuclear bomb.  It is Love that is unafraid.

Are we ready for a FIRESTORM?   Oh, Lord, get us ready.  Loose a storm of fire in me, in my home.  Make me a fire storm, Lord, full of Your passionate, fiery Love.  Make me a blazing trail of Your fiery Love.  Burn up everything that needs burning.  Purify everything else still standing.  You are All Consuming Fire, a fire storm.  Consume me. 

Hebrews 12:29  For indeed, Our God is a consuming fire.

Isaiah 33:14b, 15  Who among us can live with the consuming fire?  Who among us can live with continual burning?
