5 Step Process of Involvement


Information Meeting:   The first step in getting involved at WHOP is to attend the IHOP Information Meeting.  This meeting is held on Friday Evenings after Encounter meeting. The information meeting will enable the individual to find out more about the missions base and connect with IHOP leadership.  This meeting is the initial on-ramp for anyone who wishes to be involved with Watchman IHOP.

Application:   All those who desire to become IHOP Staff must complete an application for an internship or training program.  Anyone desiring to become IHOP Community or IHOP Family are required to complete applications for their respective designation.  Applications may be picked up at the IHOP Information Meeting.

 Pastorial Recommendation:   Those applying to become IHOP Staff or Family are required to have a Pastorial Recommendation form completed by the pastor who is closest in relationship to the applicant.

Training Program:   Before officially becoming full-time or part-time Staff, Individuals are required to complete an introductory training program in order to acquaint them with the message and model of IHOP.  Each training program for staff is three months in duration.  Available training programs include the Watch Internship (3 months), The Pursuit Internship (3 Months), and Intro (3 months).

Those interested in becoming IHOP Family or Community are required to complete a 6 –week Vision & Values class.  There will be six classes that will be offered weekely on Sundays.  The class will last for an hour. Vision & Values will be offered 6 times a year.

Orientation:    Following their internship or training program, new full-time and part-time Staff members attend New Staff Orientation.  During Orientation, each individual is given a Sacred Trust form, which is a commitment form stating the hours he or she will serve in the prayer room, on the worship team, and in helps ministry.  Each Staff member will be connected with a section leader for scheduling prayer room hours and connected with a department head for helps ministry involvement.  All new staff will receive a Staff Handbook, an IHOP e-mail address, and a IHOP name badge during orientation.
